prior to 1990 i was able to read and write as well as anyone else but a motorcycle injury to the head changed all that, i flew through the air like superman head first into a concreat pillar that shattered my helmut and ckacked open my scull, when i awoke in a hosp. room everything looked backwards & dark, like looking at a photo color negative, people looked dark blue, almost black & the wall clock appeared to be turning counter clockwise or running backwards, forming words was also a problem,
i was told i had suffered a head injury with aphasia speech dysfunction, at first i could not explain to the doctors what i was seeing, in time with speech therapy i overcame that problem & was able to explain my view of the world to a brain specialist ( Neurologist ) who told me i suffer from a rare visuial condition called strephosymbolia (mirror image vision ) also now known as dyslexia, with a secondary condition called Daltonism, color blindness, but in my case it wasn`t just green or red or yellow, but the entire color spectrum in the negative (color contrast inverstion) as if looking in a mirror at a photo color negative (it made the first nurse i viewed look like a nightmare ) and the first time i went to the beach all the females looked like they had green skin, later a photo expert told me it was because they had sunburn red skin & thats when i started to research my problem with great endevour, not being a quitter i decided to get a computer and learn how to use it, but there was still one problem as all the fonts appeared backwards as if in a mirror (solution) reformat the keyboard to my range of vision. i kept all the data such as blueprints & research in my system in a file encripted to zip file with pass code & after a time i put the word out on the internet that i was looking for a contractor to make one pro built, it`s perfect, the fonts are large enough to view & all look clear to me, the keys are color coded for better contrast. the man that built this invention of mine has shown patients and a strong knowledge of fonts in the mirror image, i would strongly urge anyone like myself to visit http://www.arkayengravers.com the CEO is ken kaplan in New York. when nobody else would take on this project, he was the only one that showed intrest enough and it didn`t cost me $10.000 in tooling & another $14.000 in research & development. swaner1@cox.net
